Rites Here For Mrs. H. Jemming Funeral services were held at St. Joseph Church, Granville, Monday morning, May 7 at 9:30 for Anna Jemming of Minneapolis, who passed away Friday evening, May 4 in Memorial Hospital in Canby, Minn, at the age of 74 years, 1 month and 4 days. She had been ill for a month, following a stroke. Rev. Arthur Poeckes of Carroll, a nephew, officiated at the Requiem Mass.

Anna Giefer was born Mar, 31, 1882 at Crestline, Ohio, daughter of Anne- and Jacob Giefer. Later the family came to the Granville vicinity, where she resided until her marriage to Henry Jemming at St. Anthony's church, Hospers, on Sept. 7, 1911. They moved to a farm near Ethan, S. D., and resided there until 1942 when they came to Granville for 8 months then moved to Minneapolis to make their home.

Surviving are two daughters and five sons, Edward of Portland, Ore., airs. Frank (Isabelle) Fry of Taunton, Minn,, Raymond of Mitchell, Sister M. Mercy of Sioux Falls, Elmer of Mitchell, William and Clifford of Minneapolis and 20 grandchildren; two brothers, Clem Giefer of Marshall, Minn., and Bill Giefer of Sioux City. She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, Maurice, killed in an accident in 1934, her parents, one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Poeckes of Le Mars and several brothers.

Burial was in the family lot at St. Joseph Cemetery. Pallbearers were Clifford and William Jemming of Minneapolis Elmer and Ray Jemming of Mitchell, Francis Jemming and Robert Fry of Taimton, Minn.

Attending the funeral were Rev. Arthur Poeches of Carroll, Sister M. Mercy, Sister M. Martina of Sioux Falls, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fry and family of Taunton, Minn,, Mr. and airs. Ray Jemming, son Francis, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Jemming, Mrs. LeRoy Shane of Mitchell, SD. and Mrs. Clifford Jemming, William Jemming at Minneapolis, Mr. and Mrs. Leander Citrowski of St, Leo, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Clem Giefer of Marshall, Mirm. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Giefer of Sioux City. Mr. and Mrs. Al Bortscheller of Remsen, Mrs. Harold Gralopp, Mrs. Harley Byrne of Le Mars, Henry Poeckes of Storm Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Guischer, Mrs. Helen AJlner of Alexandria, S.D., Mr. and Mrs. John Penning of Hospers, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Jemming, Miss Dorothy Yackley of Canby, Andrew Matthys of Ghent, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Matt Fry of Minneota, Minn.
