MELVIN F. MILLER, AGE 94, DIED AT HULL HOSPITAL JANUARY 18TH

Mr. Melvin Franklin Miller of Sheldon died ib Hull Hospital Tuesday evening, January 18th form complications arising from a fractured shoulder received in a fall on a icy walk December 16th.

He was born in the state of New York, February 12th, 1855 and was nearing his 94th birthday. He moved to Polk County, Iowa while a young man and there married Ida Clark who preceded him in death. They moved to Hull with their three children about 1891 where Mr. Miller brought grain for a line company. Later he was employed by the International Harvester Company as salesman and collector.

Mr. and Mrs. Miller moved to Sheldon about 1920. He retired from the road about 1930 and served as a Justice of the Peace up to three years ago. He has made his home at the Royce Hotel, Sheldon, the last few years.

The surviving children are Earl B. of Los Angeles, California; Robert B. of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and Nina H. (Mrs. C.L. Beach) of Hull.

The funeral will be held at Sheldon Friday afternoon with burial at East Lawn Cemetery there.
