Peter A Miller, of Alton, Iowa, oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. John Miller of Metamora, passed away last Saturday noon...His mother and sister, Mrs George Gangloff, left for Alton on Monday of last week, and remained with him to the end.

Deceased was 42 years old. He was born in this vicinity and grew to manhood here, leaving eleven years ago to settle on a farm at Alton, Ia. There he was united in marriage with Miss Kate Schrier, who survives with six children. He was engaged in farming, and very successful.

Funeral services were held inside the Catholic Church at Alton Tuesday, and burial was in the cemetery there."
