William Schreier received a message Wednesday morning from Dubuque stating that his father Mathias Screier had passed away. Deceased celebrated his 91st birthday anniversary on Sept. 8th last. Wm. Schreier left for Dubuque Wednesday evening and will accompany the remains to Alton. They will arrive at Remsen this Friday evening. Funeral services will be held from St Mary's church here on Saturday morning at 10 o'clock.
