DIES FROM RATTLESNAKE BITE

Orland, the 3 year old son and only child of Walter and Olive (Nelson) Abbey of Witten, South Dakota died last Friday from the effects of a rattlesnake. The child was playing in a field when he was bitten on the calf of his leg by a rattlesnake. He was rushed to a doctor immediately but the poison already traveled through his system to the extent that he was unable to thrown it off and he died eleven days after he was bitten.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at Winner, South Dakota, and the little form was laid to rest in a cemetery there. Walter Abbey is a son of William E. Abbey, and formerly lived in this vicinity.

The many friends of the Abbey family in this community sympathize with them in the great sorrow
