FORMER SIOUX COUNTY BOY PASSES ON--MILO MASON, SON OF MR. AND MRS. JOHN MASON DIED AT SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA

Milo Mason, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Mason, formerly of Orange City passed away Saturday afternoon at his home in Santa Ana, California, according to information received by relatives here. His father had been visiting relatives and friends in Alton and Orange City until last week when he was summoned home by his son’s illness. The family left Orange City 4 years ago for California, Milo’s health having made it necessary to locate in warmer climate. The young man was nearly 27 years of age, his birthday being December 5th. He was born in Carnes vicinity in 1902 and when he was ten years old, the family moved to Orange City where he attended school. Although handicapped by illness, having been born with a leaky heart, Milo graduated from the Orange City High School with the class of 1923. Shortly after he went to California with his parents and took a business course. Since completing his course he has been employed as bookkeeper by a Santa Ana firm. He was a bright young man, a favorite with his classmates and all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held in Orange City at the American Reformed Church Saturday afternoon at two o’clock and burial will be in Nassau Township Cemetery at Alton, in the Mason lot where the young man’s grandparents are at rest.
