Services held Saturday for Mrs. B. Attema

Funeral service for Mrs. Bertha Attema, 75, who died Thursday morning at her home in Rock Valley were held at 2 pm. Saturday at the First Christian Reformed church here. The Rev. Christian Huissen officiated.

Burial was in the Valley View cemetery under the direction of the Porter Funeral home.

Mrs. Attema was born May 7, 1889 in The Netherlands. She had lived in the Rock Valley vicinity most of her life.

Survivors are the widower Pier; five sons, Gerrit, Jake and Art, all of Rock Valley, Tony of Denver, Colo., and Lane of Sioux City; two daughters, Ann, at home, and Mrs. Levi Rasmussen of Sioux City; three sisters, Mrs. Tunis Vogelaar, Slayton, Minn.; Mrs. William Schipper, Peterson; and Mrs. Dow Hill, Los Angeles, Calif. ; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
