Funeral services were held at 1:30 Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hawarden for Mrs. Henry Ludwig, 76, who died March 31 in the Hawarden Hospital. Reverend Dwight Rebgstorf officiated and burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery at Hawarden.

Mrs. Ludwig, the former Anna Jepson, was born October 1, 1899 at Hawarden. She was confirmed March 29, 1914 in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hawarden.

She was united in marriage April 18, 1917 to Henry Ludwig. They lived on a farm near Alcester until 1950. Shortly thereafter they moved to Hawarden. On January 14 of this year she entered the hospital. After she left the hospital she was cared for by her daughter, Marilyn and finally returning to the hospital at which she passed away on March 31 at the age of 76 years and 5 months. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Casket bearers were grandsons, James, Kenneth, Dennis, Ronald Ludwig, James Vail and Mark Sorenson.

She was preceded in death by her husband Henry, one grandson, Gary Sorenson and one sister, Christina.

Survivors include 2 sons, Stanley of Alcester, Lowell of Hudson, two daughters Mildred (Mrs. Albert Sorenson) and Marilyn (Mrs. Orrin Anderson) both of Sioux City; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters., Nellie Burnight of Chatsworth, Julia (Mrs. Harry Stephenson) of Alcester, Mrs. Marie McInnis and Mae Lamoureux of Akron; one brother, Louis of Jefferson, Iowa.
