OBITUARY OF MRS. G. W. LENSINK DECEASED--PASSED AWAY JULY 31 IN HOSPITAL, HULL, FUNERAL SERVICES HELD ON AUGUST 2ND, 1946

Jane Wilhelmina Bruggink Lensink was born September 24, 1861, at Oostburg, Wisconsin and passed away at a hospital in Hull Wednesday, July 31, at the age of 54 years, 10 months and 10 days. Death was caused from cancer and complications from which she had been suffering for several months.

She was married October 5, 1881 to George W. Lensink, Sr. at Oostburg, Wisconsin and they resided at Galesville, Wisconsin. They later moved to Hull, where Mr. Lensink was one of the pioneer merchants of our town and where they resided for many years before moving to Sheldon. She had been a resident of the Holland Home the past few years.

Mr. Lensink passed away four and half years ago. One daughter and one son also preceded her in death.

Three sons survive: George and Fred Lensink, of Sioux City and John Lensink of Sheldon. There are also 24 grandchildren, one sister and two brothers: Mrs. Hattie Harrson of Racine, Wisconsin, W.H. Bruggink and George W. Bruggink of Oostburg, Wisconsin.

Funeral services were held Friday, August 2, at one o’clock at the Temple Mortuary at Sheldon and 1:30 at the First Reformed Church with the Reverend J.A. Vis officiating. Burial was made in Hope Cemetery at Hull with the Reverend J. Hanenburg in charge. Pallbearers were men from the Holland Home for the Aged.

Relatives attending the funeral were George Lensink, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lensink, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Lensink and son George, Mrs. Fred Moore and daughter Connie, all of Sioux City; Mr. and Mrs. John Lensink and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Lusink of Sheldon; Mr. and Mrs. Trey Gartin of Des Moines; Mrs. A.L. Peters of Chicago; and Mr. and Mrs. William Claerhout of Hull.
