Helen L. Lammers, 85, of Granville died Friday, December 17, 1999, at the Northwest Iowa Health Center in Sheldon after a brief illness.

Funeral services were held on Monday, December 20, at 10:30 A.M. at St. Joseph’s Catholic in Granville. Msgr. Kenneth Seifried officiated. Burial was at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Granville, under the direction of the Fisch Funeral Home in Remsen.

Helen was born October 7, 1914, at rural Orient, South Dakota, the daughter of John and Mathilda (Thorman) Lammers. She was raised in the Orient area and came to the Granville area with her parents in 1928. She entered the Happy Siesta Health Care Center in Remsen in 1965. In 1971 she moved to Oak Park Care Center in Sheldon. Miss Lammers was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Granville.

Survivors include five sisters, Kathryn and her husband Theodore Ney of Granville, Mrs. Art (Mary) Holles of Sioux City, Monica and her husband William Fellers of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Clara and her husband Eugene Farrell of St. Paul, Minnesota and Mrs. William (Theresa) Brock of Wallnut Creek, California; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Vincent (Joyce) Lammers of Little Rock, Arkansas; a brother-in-law, Richard Pahre of Corvallis, Oregon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Vincent Lammers and two sisters, Evelyn Eulberg and Margaret Pahre.
