Jacoba Hermina Kuyper was born in Pella, Iowa on the 9th day of July, 1874 coming to Sioux County with her parents, Jacob and Gerrigje (Betten) Kuyper in 1882, being among the early settlers in this vicinity. In failing health for some time she was ushered into the presents of her Maker on Sunday evening, October 14, 1946 having attained the age of 72 years, 3 months and 4 days. She was one of a family of ten children of whom four, two brothers Anthony and Herman and two sisters, Agnes (Mrs. A. Moss) and Mary preceded her in death.

She is survived by four brothers: Arie Kuyper, Salem, South Dakota, Jacob Kuyper, Beaver Creek, Minnesota, Reverend J. Kuyper, North Omstead, Ohio, James Kuyper, Okanagan, Washington, Dena (Mrs. McKee), Menton, Ohio.

Funeral services were held on Thursday at the First Reformed Church, Reverend H.J. Abersun officiated.

The pallbearers were: Gilbert Van Beck, Henry Langstraat, J. Meylink, Ed Moss, Will Rozeboom and Ralph Bartels.
