MRS. VAN KLAY PASSED AWAY

Mrs. Andrew Van Klay died suddenly at her home northwest of Rock Valley Wednesday night. She had been suffering from bronchitis for the past two or three weeks, but was able to be up most of the time, and was in Rock Valley as late as last Saturday, and her condition did not seem serious, and her sudden death is a great shock to her husband and six children, the eldest being about fourteen years of age. Mrs. Van Klay was a daughter of Mrs. G. Van Otterloo of Rock Valley.

MRS. ANDREW VAN KLEY

Funeral services for Mrs. Andrew Van Kley, whose death was announced last week, were held Monday afternoon at 1:00 o’clock at the home and at 2:00 o’clock at the Christian Reformed Church in Rock Valley.

Mrs. Van Kley was born in Holland, Mich., July 29, 1887, and died at their home northwest of Rock Valley May 10, 1927, aged thirty-nine years, nine months, and eleven days. Her parents resided in Canada a few years and later in Wright county, Iowa, and at Sioux Center, Iowa. For several years past she has lived in this vicinity.

She leaves a husband and six children, one only eight months old, her mother, Mrs. G. Van Otterloo, of Rock Valley, two brothers, Rev. J. Mulder of Everett, Washington, and Gerrit Mulder of Los Angeles, California, one half brother, John G. Van Otterloo and one half sister, Mrs. W. H. Vugteveen, of Rock Valley. The bereaved relatives have the sympathy of many friends in their great sorrow.

Her death certificate adds her parents, John Mulder and Martha Koster, both born in Holland; cause of death, pericarditis, duration 2 days; contributory cause, bronchitis, duration 7 days.
