A baby boy was born to Mr. and Mrs. Walter and Etta (Druyvesteyn) Warntjes Sunday, April 18 but passed away Monday.

He was laid to rest at Hope Cemetery, Hull, Iowa.

From the Sioux County Index (Hull), April 22, 1927:

A baby daughter was born Sunday to Mr. and Mrs. Walter Warntjes. The little one lived but a short time, being buried Monday. Much sympathy is felt for the bereaved parents on the loss of their first born.

The death certificate has Baby Warntjes, male, born April 18, 1927 at Hull; parents Walter Warntjes and Etta Druyvenstien, both born in Iowa; died at 11:45 p.m. April 18, cause, hyperplastic thymus.

The Sioux County Cemetery Index has Warntjes, baby, born 17 Apr & died 18 Apr 1927, inf son of W. C. & E., Hope Cem Hull IA. His mother’s index entry spells her maiden name Druyvesteyn, as does her obituary (posted separately).
