Mrs. Andrew Elgersma, 82, of Ireton, died Wednesday in a Hawarden Hospital.

Services were at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Christian Reformed Church at Ireton. The Reverend Bernard Fynaardt officiated. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Ireton with the Dow Funeral Home of Ireton in charge.

Mrs. Elgersma, the former Anna Vander Ven, was born June 25, 1894, at Grand Rapids, Michigan.

She was married to Fred Koopmans January 26, 1913 at Ireton. Mr. Koopmans died February 10, 1953.

She was married to Andrew Elgersma July 28, 1954. Mr. Elgersma died September 1, 1972.

Mrs. Elgersma was a member of_the Christian Reformed Church. She had been a resident of Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Hudson, South Dakota the last four years.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Harm (Margaret) Ten Napel, Mrs. Andrew (Jennie) Anema and Mrs. Earl (Henrietta) Kooi, all of Ireton; three sons, William and Henry Koopmans, both of Ireton and Arven Koopmans of Renton, Washington, two stepsons, Asa Elgersma of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Bernard Elgersma of Leota, Minnesota; two stepdaughters, Miss Jennie Elgersma of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Mrs. Annie DeVries of San Jose, California; 43 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren and 9 step-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Hattie Huenink of Firth, Nebraska.
