The unexpected passing of Mrs. John Kool Sunday, April 1, at the age of 67, was a sad shock to her family and many friends at Alton and Orange City and throughout this area.

Anna Marie Born was born June 30, 1894, in Tilden, Nebraska. On September 12, 1923, she was married to John Kool of Alton, Iowa. To this union one son was born, the Reverend C. Orville Kool of Evanston, Illinois.

Other survivors include four grandchildren: Keith, Kendra, Kurt, and Karla of Evanston, Illinois and four sisters: (Hannah) Mrs. John Groot, (Margaret) Mrs. Emery Pals, (Nellie) Mrs. Ross Hoffman, all of Grand Rapids, Michigan and (Hilda) Mrs. Grant Horner of Great Lakes, Illinois.

Mrs. Kool was a member of the Gospel Church of Orange City, where she served in various capacities. A kind and thoughtful neighbor and friend, she will be missed by many.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 1:00 P.M. at the home and at 1:30 P.M. at the First Reformed Church in Alton. Officiating at the services were the Reverend David Hadley and the Reverend Ralph Meyer. Interment was in Nssau Township Cemetery.
