Funeral services for Mrs. James Kool were held Saturday at his home in Alton and First Reformed Church in charge of Reverend W. Van Engelenhoven.

Elva Evelyn Conner was born November 14, 1907 at Boyden and graduated from Boyden High School. On December 11, 1927 she was married to James Kool, the marriage taking place at Nashua, Iowa, where the Conner family were then living. The couple lived several years at Maurice and moved three years ago to Alton, where Mr. Kool is employed in highway maintenance work.

Two daughters were born to the union, Frances Dorethea, 6 years, and Joyce Dianne, 10 months. Never very strong, Mrs. Kool was stricken a few weeks ago with a serious disease and was taken to the Methodist Hospital at Sioux City for treatment. She passed away on the afternoon of December 9th, at the age of 29 years. She is also survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Conner of Sanborn, whose only child she was.

The family have the deep sympathy of the community in their sad loss.

Pallbearers at the services were Will Bouwer, Harry Brass, John Van Pelt, Dick Aalders, Peter Van Lasr, and Donald Frerika.
