Funeral services were held at the First Presbyterian Church Fulda, MN. at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 19, 2016 with Rev. John Lassen officiating.

Mary Holtrop, the daughter of Andrew and Jennie (Heitmeyer) Bosch was born on Oct. 14, 1915 in Sibley, IA. She grew up in the Sheldon and Hospers areas and attended country school. Mary was united in marriage to Fred Holtrop on March 3, 1936 at the Bosch family farm. After their marriage they lived and farmed in northwest Iowa until 1958 when they moved to Fulda, MN. Together they farmed until their retirement in 1970 and moved into Fulda. Mary remained at home after Fred passed away in Feb. 1998. In Dec. 2006 she began residing at the Maple View Campus in Fulda. Mary passed away on Thurs. Dec. 15, 2016 at the Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Fulda at the age of 101. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Fulda and a past member of the Reformed Church in Matlock, Ia. and American Reformed Church in Worthington, MN. where she was active in Bible Study teaching Sunday School and the Ladies Aid. Mary also belonged to the Fulda Pink Ladies Aux., Extension Club and was most active volunteering with her caring, loving, compassion and sharing her faith. Mary enjoyed gardening, playing cards, bowling, visiting, knitting, quilting, traveling, spending many winters as a "Texas Snowbird" and she excelled in pie baking. We are blessed to have many fond memories of her energy and caring.

Survivors include her children, Andrew "Lee" (Glenda) Holtrop of Fulda, MN. Eugene Holtrop and friend Doris of Sibley, IA, Marilyn Jiskoot of Orange City, IA. and Marcia (Ron) Baumgard of Fulda, MN; 12 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren; 23 great-great-grandchildren and sister, Margaret Smith of Marietta, GA. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-in-law; 2 granddaughters-in-law, 1 great-grandson, 1 great-great-granddaughter, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Interment was held at :;00 p.m. Monday at East Lawn Cemetery in Sheldon, IA.
