Arlene P. (Esche) Schneider, 90 passed away Monday March 27, 2017 at Fellowship Village in Inwood, IA. Visitation was held Fri. March 31 at Anderson Funeral Home in Caanton from 2 to 8 p.m. with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Her funeral was held at 11 a.m. April 1 at Canton Lutheran Church.

Arlene was born May 28, 1926 in Milwaukee, WI. to Earl and Dorothy (Zugschwerdt) Dumke. She graduated from Webster S.D. High School in 1945. Arlene married Gale E. Esche, Sr. Jan. 5, 1947. They lived in Bristol S.D. and McGregor, MN. before moving to Canton in 1954. She married Lester Schneider Sept 26, 1992. They made their home in Hawarden and Canton.

Arlene was an active member of Canton Lutheran Church for many years. She enjoyed traveling, dancing and spending time with family.

Grateful for having shared her life are her husband Lester of Canton; her sons, Mark (rose) Esche and Todd (Debra) Esche, all of Canton; six grandson, Jason, Chad, Troy, Matthew, Daniel and Adam; a brother Bill (Sandy) Dumke of Baxter, MN; and many other extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Gale Esche Jr. and her first husband, Gale Esche, Sr.
