William "Bill" Ronald Draayer, 65 of Tucson, AZ died Monday March 13, 2017. Bill died from a rare form of cancer, dedifferentiated liposarcoma, called an orphan disease because of it's rarity and lack of cure. A memorial service is planned for May 13, at the Ireton Reformed Church. Further details will be posted at a later date.
Bill was born Oct. 7, 1951 to John W. and Henrietta (Sandbulte) Draayer. He was raised on a farm north of Ireton and later lived in Cedar City, UT. and Winona, MN before he and his wife of 26 years, Dr. Suzanne Rhodes Draayer, retired to Tucson.

Bill was an avid fisherman, hunter and handyman. He and Suzanne enjoyed houseboating on the Mississippi River and traveling extensively. He will be greatly missed by those he charmed with his easy sense of humor, his fun attitude towards life and his kindness, honesty, integrity and strong work ethic.

He is survived by his wife; a son, McKenzie (Lacey McCray) Draayer of Brooklyn Center, MN; four siblings, Leon (Marion) Draayer of Mira Loma CA, Loretta (Wynand) Hegeman of Orange City, Earl Draayer of Le Mars and Elaine (Tom) Kane of Hawarden; and many nices and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents.
