Mr. Randy Veldman, age 54, of Hull, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2017, at the Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

There will be a funeral service on Wednesday, December 20, at 10:00am, at the First Christian Reformed Church in Hull. The Rev. Loren Kotman will officiate. Interment will follow the service at the Hope Cemetery in Hull. Visitation will be after 5:00pm on Tuesday, with the family present from 5:00pm to 7:30pm, at the CHURCH.

Arrangements are with the Oolman Funeral Home in Hull.

Randy Gale was born on July 27, 1963, in Sheldon. He was raised in Hull, where he graduated from the Boyden-Hull High School.

On July 27, 1983, he married Maureen Beth Kleinwolterink in Sheldon. They first lived in Sheldon, but made their home in Hull since 1987.

Randy was a salesman at area Chevrolet dealers. In 1986, he began working at D&S Chevrolet in Hull, which later became Roetman Chevrolet. He was currently employed at Ver Hoef Chevrolet in Sioux Center. Over the years, he earned many General Motors sales awards.

He was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church, where he had served as a deacon and was on the building committee. He was also on the board of directors of the Hull Christian School. He was a man of quiet faith, firm convictions, and great love for his family.

Randy enjoyed working with his hands, especially woodworking and yard work. He loved the time he spent vacationing with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife of more than 34 years; three sons, Travis Veldman, and his wife, Brittany, Micah Veldman, and Bryce Veldman; a daughter and her husband, Abby and Jacob Koedam; five grandchildren, Emelia, Gracie, Stella, and Vivian Veldman, and Harrison Koedam; and his mother, Goldie Veldman, all of Hull; two brothers and their wives, Harvey and Vonnie Veldman and Terry and Stephanie Veldman, all of Spirit Lake; Maureen’s parents, Mike and Marilyn Kleinwolterink, of Sheldon; her three brothers and their wives, Steve and Ranae Kleinwolterink, of Boyden; Mark and Ruth Kleinwolterink, of Sheldon; and Jay and Sharla Kleinwolterink, of Hospers; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gerrit Veldman; an infant daughter, Erin Veldman; and an infant brother.
