Peter H. Konz, 78, of Remsen, died Friday in the Orange City Municipal after a brief illness.

Services were at 10:30 A.M. Monday in St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Remsen. The Reverend Richard Birdsall officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery.

Mr. Konz was born February 22, 1903 in Granville. He married Callista Schiltz January 29, 1935 in Remsen. The couple farmed north of Remsen for 41 years. They retired in 1976 and moved into Remsen. Mr. Konz was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include the widow; three sons: Donald of Remsen, Duane of Pittsfield, Mass. and Jerome of Le Mars; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Jane Burke of Remsen; 11 grandchildren; two brothers, Bernard of Salix and Robert of Oyens and four sisters, Mrs. Joe (Rose) Holton of Merrill, Mrs. Cornelius (Ann) Wolf, Mrs. Lloyd (Martha) Kriege and Mrs. Patrick (Liz) Thier, all of Remsen.
