Mrs. Ray (Monica) Konz, 50, Remsen, died September 22 at an Orange City Hospital after a brief illness. Services were September 25 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Remsen. Msgr. F.P. Schultes officiated. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery at Granville with the Fosch Funeral Home, Remsen, in charge. Rosary was recited September 24 in the funeral home.

Mrs. Konz, the former Monica Bode, was born February 16, 1924 at Sioux City. She lived in the Remsen and Granville area most of her life. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. She was married September 25, 1946 to Raymond Konz. Her husband died in 1964.

Survivors include four sons: Claire of Ft. Lupton, Colorado and Raymond, Melvin and David, all at home; four daughters, Barbara, Beverly, Deborah and Kristy, all at home; her mother, Mrs. Claire Bode of Remsen; a brother, Carl of Sergeant Bluff; a sister, Mrs. Manny (Elizabeth) Uribe; and a grandchild.
