RITES AT GRANVILLE FOR RAYMOND KONZ

Funeral services were held Thursday morning at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Granville, for Raymond Konz, 40, Reverend N.J. Becker officiating.

Mr. Konz died unexpectedly the previous Monday at his farm home south of Granville. He was born February 23, 1924 to John and Celia (Plathe) Konz, attended St. Joseph School in Granville and assisted his parents on the farm. He was married September 25, 1946 to Monica Bode at Remsen and the couple farmed in this area.

Surviving are his widow; eight children: Clair, Barbara, Beverly, Ray, Jr., Deborah, Melvin, David and Kristy, all at home; a brother, Pete of Remsen; Bernard of Salix; George of Sleepy, Minnesota; Robert of Oyens; four sisters: Mrs. Cornelius Wolf; Mrs. Lloyd Kriege of Remsen; Mrs. Joe Holton of Le Mars; Mrs. Pat Their of Phoenix, Arizona. He was preceded in death by two brothers: Albert and Sylvester, and his parents.
