LAST RITES HELD FOR MRS. KONZ

Mrs. Anna Konz, long time resident of Alton, died Monday, January 27, at the Marcus Nursing Home at 11:20 P.M. She would have been 87 years old February 11. She had been in ill health for eleven weeks.

Funeral services were held Thursday morning, January 30, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton following a wake at the Fisch Funeral Home in Remsen Tuesday night, and at the St. Mary’s Parish Chapel in Alton Wednesday evening.

Surviving are five sons and five daughters, John J. of Lismore, Minnesota, Mrs. Peter (Lillian) Wolf of Remsen, Mrs. Adlai (Laura) Heinis of Marshall, Minnesota, Julius of Bushnell, South Dakota, Leo of Beardsley, Minnesota, Jake of Engen, South Dakota, Mrs. William Hansen, Alton, Mrs. Clarence (Florence) Trennen of Kingsley, Albert of Beardsley, Minnesota, Mrs. Ray (Mildred) Mousel of Alton; one brother, Andy Hoethe of Sutherland; one sister, Mrs. Mary Konz Elkton, South Dakota; and one step-sister, Miss Louian Noethe of Alton; 25 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. All of the 10 children were present for the funeral.
