On Saturday morning, March 9th Albert Konz passed away at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John and Celia (Plathe) Konz of Granville, after an illness of nine weeks. He was born December 17, 1918 at Granville, Iowa.

Funeral services were held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Tuesday morning at 9:30. The boy’s cousin, Reverend Henry Scharphoff of Granville, Iowa officiating. Burial was made in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

The lad is survived by his parents, six brothers and four sisters, namely: Anna, Mrs. Cornelius Wolf of Remsen; Peter, Rose, Martha, Elizabeth, Bernard, George, Sylvester, Robert and Raymond, all at home.

Pallbearers at the funeral were Lawrence Konz, Ferdinand Plathe of Granville, Raymond and Clarence Mousel, Albert Konz and Magnus Konz of Alton.

Relatives and friends from a distance attending the services were Joe, Peter and John Henrich of Madison, Minnesota; Mr. and Mrs. John Baumann of Heron Lake, Minnesota; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Tastove, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Vortherms of Adrian, Minnesota; Miss Maud St. John, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard St. John and children, Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Remer, all of Sioux City; Mr. and Mrs. John Wolf and son of Le Mars.
