RITES HERE FOR SYLVESTER KONZ

Funeral services for Sylvester Konz, 41, who passed away at Sacred Heart Hospital, Le Mars Friday morning at 4:30 following a brief illness, were held at St. Joseph Church, Granville Tuesday morning at 9:30, Reverend N.J. Becker officiating at the Requiem Mass.

Sylvester Konz was born on October 26, 1916, on a farm south of Granville, where he has always resided, son of Mr. and Mrs. John and Celia (Plathe) Konz, attended St. Joseph School and since assisted his parents on the farm.

Surviving are his mother, four sisters and five brothers: (Anna) Mrs. Cornelius Wolf of Remsen, (Rose) Mrs. Joe Molton, Le Mars, (Martha) Mrs. Lloyd Kriege of Remsen, George of Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, Peter of Remsen, Bernard of Salix, (Betty) Mrs. Pat Their of Mankato, Minnesota, Ray of Granville, Robert of Le Mars.

He was preceded in death by his father and one brother. Burial was in the family lot at St. Joseph Cemetery.
