Miss Adriana Kooima passed away in the Rock Valley hospital Tuesday afternoon where she had been taken a few days earlier for an operation for appendicitis. The operation was performed Sunday afternoon. It was a serious case from the beginning, but she withstood the operation and at first showed some signs of improvement, but complications developed from which she could not recover.

She was born near Rock Valley, February 13, 1910. She spent practically all her life in this vicinity, and was a young woman who had the respect and esteem of all who knew her, and her untimely death is a great shock to her parents and brothers and sisters, who have the sympathy of many friends in their great bereavement.

She leaves her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tim and Gertie (Groeneweg) Kooima, and five brothers and three sisters as follows: Sam, Paul, Edward, Lawrence and Arthur, and Mrs. A. Harmsen, Gertie and Lois.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at one o'clock at the home and at two o'clock in the Christian Reformed Church in Rock Valley.
