Mr. Henry D. Koele, age 77, of Hull, passed away Tuesday, August 13, at the Sioux Center Community Hospital, after a short illness.

Henry was born March 23, 1908, near Doon, the son of Dick Koele and Julia Synhorst Koele.

On September 25, 1935, he married Minnie G. Post at Sioux Falls, South Dakota. They farmed in the Hull area for 34 years, retiring to town in 1969.

Mr. Koele was a lifetime member of the First Reformed Church of Hull.

He will be missed by his wife; three sons; five daughters; 22 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; one brother, Clarence, of Hull; and three sisters, Mrs. Chuck (Jennie) Heileger, of Sioux Center; Mrs. Oscar (Marie) Douma and Mrs. Bert (Madeline) Rens, both of Hull.

Funeral services were held Friday, August 16, at the First Reformed Church in Hull, with the Reverend Gerald Vander Velde officiating. Interment followed at Hope Cemetery in Hull, under the direction of the Kraai - Oolman Funeral Home of Hull.
