Mrs. June (Chatterton) Knauff, former Sioux City resident, passed away in Spring Valley Hospital, California of an apparent heart attack.

She was born in Sioux City in 1912, the daughter of Minnie and George Chatterton. She was a nurse during the Korean War. Her husband, Herman Knauff preceded her in death in 1969. Survivors include her brother Mel Chatterton as well as several cousins.

Her body was cremated in California and the remains brought to Hawarden with graveside services held Thursday, November 18th at Grace Hill Cemetery under the direction of Dow Funeral Home. Reverend Bloodworth of the United Methodist Church officiated. The Chatterton Family were early day residents of Callipe in the 1880's later moving to Hawarden.
