Mr. Jose Trejo, age 38, of Orange City, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2017, at the Avera McKennan Hospital and University Health Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

There will be a funeral service on Wednesday, November 22, at 4:00pm, at the Christ the King Catholic Church in Sioux Center. The Rev. Fr. Douglas Klein will officiate. Visitation will be after 5:00pm on Tuesday, with the family present from 5:00pm to 7:30pm, at the Oolman Funeral Home in Orange City. There will be a prayer service on Tuesday, at 6:00pm, at the funeral home.

Jose Esteban was born on December 31, 1978 in Santa Maria Nativitas Hidaigo, Mexico, the son of Jose and Candelaria (Margado) Trejo. He was raised in Mexico, where he graduated from high school. In 1997, he moved to the United States, where he first lived in Sioux Center. In 1999, he settled in Orange City.

On September 29, 2006, he married Maria de la Luz in Sioux Center.

Jose was a member of the Christ the King Catholic Church.

He was employed at the Dykstra Dairy in Maurice.

Survivors include his wife of more than eleven years; four children, Stephen, Ignacio, Destiny, and Emily Trejo, all of Orange City; his parents, of Mexico; and two sisters, Luisa Trejo, of Orange City; and Alejandra Trejo, in Mexico.

Jose Esteban era el hijo de Jose y Candelaria (Margado) Trejo. Creció en Mexico, de donde se graduó de la escuela secundaria. En 1997 se mudo a los Estados Unidos y vivió en Sioux Center, y en 1999 se estableció en Orange City.

El 29 de Septiembre de 2016 se caso con Maria de la Luz en Sioux Center.

Jose era miembro de la Iglesia Católica Christ the King.

El trabajaba en la lecheria Dykstra en Maurice.

Famililares aún con vida incluyen su esposa de mas de once años, sus hijos Stephen, Ignacio, Destiny, y Emily Trejo, todos de Orange City, sus padres de Mexico; y sus dos hermanas, Luisa Trejo, de Orange City; y Alejandra Trejo, de Mexico.
