Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Groth, 76, of Rock Valley, were held Thursday, January 18, 1970 at 1:30 P.M. in the Our Savior’s Lutheran Church with the Reverend Eugene B. Solend officiating. Mark Liaboe was organist.

Pallbearers were Otto and Dale Koch, Norval Kahl, Henry Bosler, Norman and Kenneth McKinney. Burial was in the Lutheran Cemetery at Alvord under the direction of the Porter Funeral Home.

Mrs. Groth died Tuesday, January 13 in the Hegg Memorial Hospital following a six weeks illness.

Minnie Koch was born February 7, 1893 in Sioux County. Her parents were Fred and Mary Koch. She married John Groth on February 7, 1907. They always lived in the Rock Valley area. He preceded her in death in 1939.

Survivors are four sisters - Mrs. Marcus Kahl, Mrs. Henry Bosler, Mrs. Vern McKenney, all of Inwood, Iowa, and Miss Tillie Kock of Rock Valley, Iowa; five brothers - Louis of Inwood, Iowa, George, Edward, Raymond, and Fritz, all of Rock Valley, Iowa.
