Miss Helena (Lena) Klein, 88, of Alton died Friday at an Orange City Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.

Services were at 10:30 A.M. Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. The Reverend Mervin Hood officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery under the direction of the Fisch Funeral Home of Remsen. The Rosary was recited at 3 and 8 P.M. Sunday at St. Mary’s Parish Hall, Alton.

Miss Klein was born January 25, 1889, to Jacob and Mary (Haupert) Klein in Alton and was a lifelong Alton resident. She was a homemaker and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Rosary Society of the Church.

Survivors include a brother, Ray, and two sisters, Miss Christine Klein and Mrs. Joe (Sylvina) Schaul, all of Alton.
