Funeral services were at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Granville, at 11 A.M. Monday for Lawrence J. Klein, 51, who died October 15, on his brother’s farm near Granville.

Reverend John Schissel officiating and burial was in the parish cemetery, Rosary were at 5, 7, 8, and 9 P.M. Sunday.

Lawrence was born to Jacob and Cecelia (Goebel) Klein on November 14, 1919 at Alton, he was a lifetime resident of the Alton area and was highly respected farmer. He married Luella Penning at Hospers November 18, 1941.

Survivors are the widow; two daughters, Mildred, Mrs. Gerald Sanny of Le Mars, and Byrlea, Mrs. Ronald Budden of Granville; four sons: Dominic of Corona, California, Jacob of Granville, and Mark and Paul, both of Alton and by two grandchildren.

Also surviving are two brothers: Leo of Alton and Henry of Granville; five sisters: Miss Agnes Klein of Alton, Sister Mary Oda of Dubuque, Sister Mary Tresain of Briar Cliff College, Sioux City, Mrs. Ed Penning and Mrs. Julius Penning, both of Granville.
