Funeral services were held at Central Reformed Church at 2 P.M. Monday, May 12, for Mrs. Gerrit John Klein, 63, lifelong resident of this community, who died May 10, at the local hospital following a lingering illness.

Services were conducted by the Reverend Albert Ten Clay and burial was made in the Sioux Center Community Cemetery under the direction of the Co-operative Funeral Home.

Mrs. Klein, nee Jennie Lockhorst, was born May 12, 1905, at Carmel to John and Carrie (Van Roekel) Lockhorst. She was married to Gerrit John Klein at Orange City June 5, 1924. The couple made their home in Sioux Center vicinity for more than 40 years. Mr. Klein passed away January 6, 1968.

Survivors include three sons - Herman of Sioux Center, Iowa, Karl of Le Mars, Iowa, and John of San Francisco, California; a daughter, Mrs. George Day, of Bigelow, Minnesota; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers - Jake Vos of Sibley, Iowa, and Wilbur Vos of Sioux Center, Iowa; a sister, Alice Van Riessen, of Sioux Center, Iowa
