MRS. JOHANNES (DE VELDER) KLEIN PASSES AWAY --One of longest residents of Sioux County - Three children survive.

One of our oldest pioneers has been called to her eternal home. Mrs. J. Klein died at her home in Sioux Center on Saturday December 15, 1922.

Mrs. Klein had reached the age of 84 years and 7 months.

She was born in the Netherlands but came to this county when she was 9 years old, arriving at Pella.

She was one of the pioneers in this country coming here during the year 1870. From here in the year 1882 she went to Douglas County, South Dakota, but returned to Sioux Center in the year 1895 where she has made her home ever since.

Thirteen years ago her husband preceded her in death.

She is survived by three children, C. Klein, Sr. of Sioux Center, John Klein of Harrison, South Dakota, and Mrs. Al Hubers of Orange City. One daughter. Mrs. John Hubers preceded her in death.

The funeral services were held in the First Christian Reformed Church and were conducted by Reverend De Leeuw and Reverend Van Wyk of the 2nd Christian Reformed at Orange City. Interment was in the local cemetery.
