Mrs. L. Van Wyhe Dies at Hospital Funeral Saturday
Mrs. Lammert Van Wyhe of Rock Valley, passed on Tuesday at the hospital in Bock Rapids.
Mrs. Van Wyhe fell on August 8th and broke her hip.

She was born 85 years ago in the Netherlands and came to this country with her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. D. Ruisch, who were pioneer settlers of the Alton vicinity having come overland in the covered wagon train from Pella in the early '70s.
She was married on Jan. 23rd, 1887 to Lammert Van Wyhe, their marriage taking place at Alton.

The couple farmed for some years near Sioux Center and later moved to Rock Valley. They celebrated their golden wedding sis years ago and Mr. Van Wyhe died a few years later.

Surviving are six daughters and three sons: Mrs. John Van Berkum (Anna), of Steen, Minn.; Mrs. Neal Dodewaard (Alice), of Lester; Mrs. Dick Wynia (Gertrude of Rock Valley; Mrs. John Vander Voorn (Jennie) of Lester; Mrs. Leo Cogswell (Mina) of Rock Valley; Mrs. Barnie Siemonsma (Dora) of Colton, S. D.; John Van Wyhe of Lester, Dick of Colton, S. D. and Lammert of St. Charles, 111. One son, Gerrit, died at the age of I8 years. Also surviving" are three brothers, Dick Ruisch of Orange City, Gerrit Ruisch of Alton; Will Ruisch of Cherokee; and a sister who died in Holland and another, Mrs. L. Muilenburg, who died some years ago at Orange City.

Funeral services will he held Saturday afternoon at the First Reformed church in Rock Valley, of which Mrs. Van Wyhe was a member.
