Mrs. Roger Klay, 54, Hull, died July 18, at a Sioux Center Hospital. Services were at 1:30 P.M., July 22 at the First Christian Reformed Church at Hull. The Reverend Cornelius Van Schouwen officiated. Burial was in Hope Cemetery with the Kraai Funeral Home of Hull in charge.

Mrs. Klay, the former Johanna “Jo” Haveman, was born March 27, 1920, at Hull. She had been a long-time teacher at Hull Christian and Western Christian High. She was married February 5, 1946. Mr. Klay is the postmaster in Hull.

Survivors include the widower; a son, Tom at home; two daughters, Mary and Nancy, both at home; three sisters, Mrs. Gilbert (Helena) Keizer at Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Mrs. John (Dena) Hospers of Hull and Alice of Des Moines; and two brothers, John of Hull and Jake of Marian.
