Maxyne Kinsey Pittman of Perry died on Friday, April 23, from a stroke. She was born in Ogden, the daughter of Ray Akers and Esther Danielson Akers. She was a member of the Lake Park Chapter Eastern Star. Funeral services were at Rowley Masonic Home in Perry on Monday, April 26. Burial was at Memory Gardens in Sioux Center.

She lived in Perry for two years and in Madrid for 20 years and at Lake Park and Sioux Center.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Eldon O. Kinsey, who was a superintendent at Sioux Center Community Public Schools from 1944 to 1962. He died suddenly on December 2, 1962. Kinsey Elementary School was named after him.

Survivors are her husband, James Pittman, of Perry, and a daughter, Bonnie Margaret Kinsey of Anthony, New Mexico.
