Funeral services were held Wednesday at Le Mars for Mrs.Elmer Athens, 55, who died Sunday at the Le Mars hospital after a years illness. Mrs. Athens was a former resident and was the former Bernice Helmers.

Survivors include the widower, three sons Larry, Marian and Roger all of Le Mars, one sister, Mrs. Harold Schroeder of Doon
and one brother Eugene Helmers of Byers, Colo., and two grandchildren.
