Word was received here that funeral services for Andy Vander Stoep, 54, were held at the First Reformed church at Oak Harbor, Whidbey Island, Wash., in February.
Mr. Vander Stoep died of a heart attack Feb. 11. He served six and one half years as sheriff, retiring in December, 1960 because of ill health. He was a member of the Oak Harbor Police Force before becoming sheriff.

He was born at Rock Valley and went to Oak Harbor in 1922.
