Mrs. Bridget A. Knewel died at her home in Sioux Falls, S.D., Saturday at 4:15 A.M. March 21st, 1914, of tubercular pneumonia. Her death came very unexpectedly even though she had been seriously ill for the past six weeks. Bridget Toohey was born March 8th, 1863, at Ontario, Canada, and at the age of 21 came to Sioux City, Ia., where she was employed as dressmaker in Pelletier's Department Store. In 1890 she was united in marriage to Nicholas Knewel of Hull, Ia., and to this union were born two sons and two daughters, all of whom were at her bedside. Eight years ago they moved to Sioux Falls. S.D., from Hull, Ia. Mrs. Knewel was a dear, loving mother and a devout member of the Catholic church. Funeral services were held in Sioux Falls Monday at 9:00 A.M., and she was laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery at that place.
