Mrs. Dora Mouw Kiel, age 91 of Alcester, died on November 25. Funeral services were November 27 at the Alcester Baptist Church. Pastor Robert Toren officiated. Burial was at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Dora Mouw spent her early years at Matlock and on February 12, 1909 was married to Hayo Kiel. The couple made their home on a farm near Artesian, South Dakota for six years and then moved to Archer, Iowa. In 1922 they returned to South Dakota when Mr. Kiel took a position as night watchman at Alcester. He preceded her in death in 1962.

Survivors include two daughters: Bertha (Mrs. Edwin Johnson) of Alcester and Jeanette (Mrs. Henry Felsheim) of Parker, South Dakota; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Menning of Orange City and Mrs. Mattie Vos of Hospers; four grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by one son, four brothers, three sisters, and one grandson.
