The remains of Chester Lawrence Kidwiler were brought to Ireton from Worthington, Minnesota, Sunday for burial in the family plot in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Kidwiler passed away Monday, January 25, at the hospital in St. Peter, Minnesota. He had been in poor health for three years. Funeral services were held at the Hanson Funeral Home in Worthington at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon with Reverend Harm Rust of the Mission Baptist Church in charge. The pallbearers who served at the cemetery here were B.W. Fritz, John Viothe, H.H. Braaka, Henry Franke, Mont Fullerton and Stanley Hopper.

Chester Kidwiler, son of Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Kidwiler, was born at Eagle City, Iowa, January 9, 1878. He came to Ireton with his parents when a young boy and grew to young manhood here. For a time he was in business with his father, operating a clothing store.

He was united in marriage with Adah Riley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Riley and besides the widow he is survived by three sons, Russell, Lyle and Stanley. For many years they lived at Wessington Springs, South Dakota before moving to Worthington, Minnesota.

Mr. Kidwiler had many friends in Ireton who are sorry to learn of his death and who extend sympathy to the family.
