John Kenowith, 70, of Ireton, passed away unexpectedly on February 16, 1959. He had been watching television with the family when the attack came. He had been a long time resident of Plymouth and Sioux Counties.

He was born March 11, 1888, in Poland and came to the United States at the age of 13. He married Anna Jahdc, February 25, 1919.

Survivors are the widow: two daughters, Mrs. Martin Dirks of Sioux City and Mrs. Alvin Rohlfs of Hawarden: a son, Wayne of LeMars; a brother, Paul of Chicago, and 12 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Friday at the Methodist Church at Ireton. Reverend M. King will officiate. The body will be taken to the residence Thursday afternoon from the Saterlee Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
