LAMBERT LEVERING, FORMER IRETON AREA FARMER, HEART VICTIM

Lambert Levering, 65, died recently on Thursday, November 5, after suffering a heart attack at the blacksmith shop which he had operated in Sheldon for many years.

Funeral services were held at the First Reformed Church and burial was made in East Lawn Cemetery at Sheldon.

Mr. Levering was born January 28, 1894 at Middleburg, Iowa. He was a twin brother of the late Mrs. John Barents of Ireton. The family operated a mercantile store at Carnes for some years, and later farmed near Ireton. Mr. Levering had been a Sheldon resident for 39 years prior to his death.

Survivors include the widow, Grace (Muilenburg) Levering; a son, Julius, of Long Beach, California; a brother, Edward, of Grand Rapids, Michigan; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
