This fatality was the third for this year in Sioux County. The second was the death May 26th of Jay H. Levering, 22, a student at Doort College, Sioux Center, in another one car accident 1.5 miles east of Boyden on Highway 18.

The young man was driving a 1965 Plymouth. He received a broken neck and died before reaching the Sheldon Hospital. He would have graduated the next week.

His mother is Mrs. Gretta Levering, his father Henry passed away in 1950.

Patrolman M. Anderson reported the accident.
