Funeral services for Frank Jouwstra, 90, a retired Rock Valley area farmer, were at 1 P.M. Saturday at the Porter Funeral Home and at 1:30 P.M. at the First Reformed Church, The Reverend Ralph Ten Clay officiated. Burial was in the Valley View Cemetery.

Mr. Jouwstra died Wednesday at the Rock Valley Nursing Home after a brief illness. He was born August 29, 1877, in The Netherlands. He married Tjalje Nawton on May 25, 1901 in The Netherlands. They farmed in the Rock Valley area for many years. She died February 12, 1964, in Rock Valley.

Survivors include four sons: Cornelius of New York, New York, Charley of El Cajon, California, Evert “Ed” of Doon, and Shirk of Ontario, California; two daughters, Mrs. Dick Jausma of Rock Rapids and Mrs. Evert Lovering, Lakewood, California; a half-sister, Mrs. T. Shellingers of Maurice; 19 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.
