MRS. EDWARD JOHNSON DIES AT HER HOME IN HAWARDEN TUESDAY

Mrs. Edward Johnson, 63, died early Tuesday morning in her Hawarden Home after a long illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon at Trinity Lutheran Church with Reverend H.E. Sieving officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Ireton under the direction of the Frazier Funeral Home.

Winnie La Verne Muth was born July 16, 1888 at Ireton. On March 27, 1912 she married Edward Johnson at Ireton. She resided on a farm northwest of Hawarden until three years ago when she came to Hawarden to live.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hawarden.

Survivors are the widower; two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Schollerman and Mrs. Doris Lubben, both of Hawarden; two brothers, Albert Muth of Ireton and John Muth of Orange City; one sister, Mrs. Mary K. Jahde of Hawarden and four grandchildren. Her parents and two sisters preceded her in death.
