Minert Janssen, 67, of Matlock, died November 14th from injuries which he suffered while bridling a horse. Janssen was helping hitch a team and the horse he was handling was unruly and suddenly swung his head around, striking Mr. Janssen’s head, causing a hemorrhage of the brain. Mr. Janssen was able to complete the hitching of the team but was removed to the house shortly after and he fell into a coma and remained unconscious until he died.

Mr. Janssen was a bachelor and is survived by two brothers.
