Funeral services were held Saturday for Rudolph (Rudy) Jantzen, 62, who died Wednesday at Sioux Valley hospital in Sioux Falls. Services were at 1 p.m. at Jongewaard Funeral Chapel and 1:30 p.m. at the Methodist church with Reverend W. Morris Kildal officiating.

Mr. Jantzen was born in Hull on October 26, 1903. He was the son of John and Kate (Lutjens) Jantzen. He was married July 25, 1926 in Hull to Dorothy Ruth Visser.

He moved from Hull to Rock Rapids in September, 1939, and from that time until July, 1957, was manager of Kooiker Chevrolet.

In failing health for several years, Mr. Jantzen, accompanied by his wife, went to California early this winter to escape the severe winter. They returned only recently and Mr. Jantzen was admitted to the hospital in Sioux Falls.

Mr. Jantzen is survived by his wife, Dorothy; one son, Dean, of Sioux Falls; his mother, Mrs. Kate Jantzen, Sheldon, and two grandchildren.

Also surviving are two brothers: Fred and Henry, both of Hull; and three sisters, Ella, Mrs. Art Vanden Brink, Sheldon; Henrietta, Mrs. Gerrit Vanden Brink, Bayard; and Mrs. Elma Faber, Sheldon.

Burial was at the at the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery near Hull.
